Meticulously restored Victorian home! It’s worth it, just for the grand staircase! Daniel, our host, was very friendly, professional, and went out of his way to make sure our stay was wonderful!

Charming, peaceful and very comfortable. Live in an exceptionally well maintained 1900 family house with the amenities of a modern hotel. Perfect location for a retreat, a relaxing vacation or a hiking resting hub. The service is most pleasant and accommodating. If I come back to this beautiful area, I would definitely stay here.

We had a great stay at Blue Ridge Abbey! The restored Victorian home retains all the charm of the original home, with updated features (heated bathroom floors!) When you walk through the house, you feel like you are walking back in time. The room we stayed in was much bigger than most we have stayed in, and the bed was very comfortable . Even though we stayed in early March and couldn’t take advantage of it, the wrap around porch looks so inviting to sit and watch the day go by. Maybe next time we stay… We would definitely recommend Blue Ridge Abbey to anyone to any one passing thru or as a destination for a quiet time in a small town.

This perfectly done bed and breakfast is so worth the stay!! The rooms, the whole house, the amenities were beautifully done, and gave us the comfort and luxury we wanted for this Valentines weekend! There was quick morning coffee with a dark roast that I prefer, cereal and milk for the kids, honey for my guy’s coffee, and delightful morning blueberry bread for our last morning. The shower was spacious, clean, and the water was HOT!! Loved it! They provided body wash, shampoo, and conditioner that all smelt so lovely it was like spa day every shower. The drawing room was romantic and made for a wonderful Valentine photo shoot. It was too cool to really enjoy the sprawling front porch, but I can just imagine warm spring evenings with tea and conversation. The whole neighborhood surrounding the abbey is quiet , quaint, and quality! We didn’t get to spend too much time in town, but chose to drive the short 15 minutes to Lexington and enjoyed the art galleries, the cafes, and the restaurants. Definitely stay here!!

Blue ridge abbey was a wonderful bed and breakfast. My boyfriend and i took this trip to celebrate our 2 year anniversary. The room was beautifully decorated, clean and pristine. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was modern and updated. The breakfast was delicious and prompt. I highly recommend this inn for anyone looking to stay in the area! 🌷🌄

Blue Ridge Abbey is a beautifully renovated Victorian home with a welcoming wrap around porch, beautiful furnishings, large comfortable rooms with pristine clean modern bathrooms. The owner, Daniel, greeted us after our late check in, made sure we had everything we needed and was very welcoming to our dog. We enjoyed getting to know him over breakfast. We are excited to return!

The Blue Ridge Abbey B&B is an authentic and charming Victorian home. It has a gorgeous wraparound porch and lovely entranceway. Daniel and Brooke are wonderful, accommodating hosts who provide a scrumptious breakfast and are open to take time with you and answer questions and help in any way they can. The Blue Ridge provides a parlor where one can read, play games or the piano. I was bowled over by the authenticity of the house down to the elegant original wallpaper and transom windows. The Blue Ridge Abbey has a timeless charm and gracious personal attention that you cannot find at generic hotels!

What an absolute gem! We loved everything about our stay at The Blue Ridge Abbey. From the moment we arrived, the owners made us feel genuinely welcome, warm, gracious, and just the kind of people who clearly love what they do. The house is spotless and beautifully decorated, full of little details that make it feel special. We stayed in the Foxglove Room, and it was perfect. The bathroom was gorgeous, the floor was even heated, and the mattress was so comfortable that we slept better than we have in ages. And the breakfast… wow. You actually get to choose what you’d like, what time you’d like it, and where you want to eat, in your room, in the dining room, or out on the porch. Every bite was delicious and made with care. We left feeling rested, pampered, and already planning our next visit. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Wonderful stay! We booked last minute for a night before checking out Natural Bridge State Park and the Safari. The rooms and house are beautiful and we had great hosts, would definitely recommend!

Great new bed and breakfast at n historic Buena Vista. Close to Washington and Lee and VMI and blue ridge parkway. Breakfasts were individualized and homemade. Would definitely stay again

Mr.Daniel and Mr.Mason and Mrs.Brooke were all so very friendly. The food was excellent and the service was very warm and friendly. The room was amazing and the deep tub and heated floors were a awesome bonus!

Our stay here was wonderful. The rooms are beautiful with wallpapers, the claw foot tub and shower. The heated floors were a fun bonus. The breakfast was excellent. I had the biscuits and gravy, French toast casserole with vanilla bean ice cream. Who knew ice cream was for breakfast? The front porch with the swing is so inviting. Book a stay here. You will not be disappointed.

A very pleasant and unique experience.

We stayed at Blue Ridge Abbey Bed & Breakfast for one night before taking the Shenandoah Valley train. The location was about a 35-minute drive from the station — not the closest, but absolutely worth it! The house is charming, peaceful, and beautifully maintained. The breakfast was delicious and clearly made with care — one of the best we’ve had at a B&B. The service was warm, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. We wish we could’ve stayed longer to enjoy more of the area. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway!

While driving the Blue Ridge Parkway, we got to the late afternoon and began searching for a clean, safe place for the night. We were very fortunate to find the Blue Ridge Abbey which went far above our expectations. Large, comfortable, extremely clean room and amazing breakfast with very personable hosts. Thanks Daniel and Mason. We will return soon.

This place just open up and march. It is a beautiful places and owner’s are nice and friendly. You don’t want to miss out on staying here. I love it.

I needed to be in Lexington but all the hotels were booked so I landed on Blue Ridge Abbey. What a lovely surprise. The abbey is the perfect launching point for visiting multiple universities and activities in the vicinity, and enjoying scenic views and an historic home with modern amenities and updates bathrooms in an historic Virginia town. Perfect for mommy time, a girls getaway, a family weekend or a quick stopover on your travels. Daniel was the ideal host. Thank you!

We had such a lovely time at the beautiful bed and breakfast! Daniel is SO lovely and made the best breakfast. We booked through booking.com and Daniel didn’t get our number/email since it wasn’t given to him so he had no idea when we were coming. When we arrived he was there within a minute! He’s so accommodating! We loved our room. It was very clean and beautifully decorated. We got the special each day for breakfast. Saturday we had a quiche and Sunday a delicious fresh toast casserole. We didn’t explore buena vista much since we were here to see Lexington but it was a super quick 12 min drive into Lexington and super easy to park there. Would absolutely stay again if we are back in town! :)

Stayed while visiting SVU & it will be our go to every time now. Breakfast was great. Room and accommodations were perfect. The ONLY thing we’d change is better insulation for sound-but then it wouldn’t be an old beautiful home without so much charm.
